How to find us

Brompton's Online Bidding Options

There are two ways in which to bid online.

Commision bidding through Bromptons Auctioneers.

The first is to place a bid through the online catalogue. This bid is then passed to the auctioneer who will bid on your behalf, up to but not over the amount stated. The fact that you enter a certain amount does not mean that he will automatically bid to that level. His intention is to get you the lowest price, subject to the reserve of the instrument and other bids placed against it. This mode of bidding is called commission bidding, and has been (although not through computers) a recognised way of bidding in auction for centuries.

Live bidding through thesaleroom.com

The second form of bidding online is by watching the sale through your computer and bidding when you wish. Bidding live through your computer could not be easier. A live stream of the auction will be visible to you, and you will be able to monitor the auctioneer through every lot and bid when you wish. Our chosen partners for the live auction are thesaleroom.com, and if you click on this link, you will be directed through the process.
